Bulgaria is a beautiful mountainous country, with tourism opportunities being one of its biggest assets. Bulgaria possesses beautiful landscapes and beaches. The Black Sea Coast on its East border is famous for its fine sanded beaches, and perfect temperatures of water and air.

This is Bulgaria’s third largest city, a large port, and an important cultural, trade and industrial centre. Founded in the 6th century BC, the city boasts many remains from Roman and Byzantine times. The oldest gold jewellery in the world (dating from the second half of 5000 BC) was found in the Necropolis of Varna. During the 20th century the town became a first rate sea resort. Nowadays Varna is the centre of the Black Sea region. All these factors contribute to the active town life not only in summer when the town turns into a centre of tourism and numerous cultural events but during the whole year. Well known as a resort for decades Varna offers excellent conditions for recreation, entertainment and sports.
